Alona received an Honours Bachelor of Law from the Ukrainian State University of Finance and International Trade (Kiev, Ukraine) in 2008. She continued her education in the legal field and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2019. As a law student, she participated in the 44th annual Zuber Moot where she competed against 22 teams and became the winner and top oralist.
Following law school, Alona articled and worked as a lawyer at general practice law firms in Toronto, ON. She also worked at a personal injury law firm where she assisted clients with their Accident Benefits claims. Alona is passionate about advocating on behalf of her clients to achieve fair compensation for the injuries that they sustained as a result of their accident or disability claims.
Alona's practice encompasses all areas of personal injury litigation including, serious and catastrophic motor vehicle collisions, motorcycle and bike accidents, slip/trip and falls, long-term disability claims, dog bite claims and professional negligence matters.
Alona is fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian and she is a member of the Ontario Bar Association.
In her free time, Alona enjoys cooking for friends and family, taking her dog for walks, traveling and experiencing different cultures and foods.
